Default TH400 stall for procharged camaro

Ok want your opinion on what stall speed to get for my car. I will be putting a TH400 into my procharged camaro. Currently I am making about 650 to the wheels through my T56 and 4.10 gears

The car is not a daily driver. I have never had a high stall auto so I would like to get everyone's opinion. I don't mind something a little obnoxious as long as I can still drive it on the street and have fun.

Best thing to do is to call your company of choice and let them tell you what to start out with. The places I have dealt with give you one free restall for a year incase it needs to be loosened or tightened up. I know PTC does this. They told me the converter I needed to run for my th400.

I run a 5600 stall in my vette, its twin turbo though so a bit different than a centri setup but I love it. I mostly street drive the car. 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear it doesn't matter the car just takes off from any speed even off the wastegate at 8 psi. I run 2 tranny coolers and that keeps the heat in check. Don't be afraid to go big on the stall

you need all your combo specs before a stall can be advised, then contact a converter co
stroke, cam, weight, etc all go into picking a converter

It has to be a typo, he must have meant 3600.

My procharged personal vehicle made very similar power to yours when it was a t56. I swapped to a 4l80e and my first converter was our 245mm "2c" about a 3600 with that kind of power. It was very streetable. I now have a 245mm "1e" and it's about a 4k stall. I really enjoy it. If you fill out an ask Chris form with all your specs, we can surely help you out.

Thanks for the info guys.

I realize that every setup is different and should be specced out. I have been working with Chris and got a ton of great info. I wanted personal experience and what stall speed everybody has gone with.

Chris and I chatted about a 245mm "3C" but I found a great deal on a brand new 4C. Sounds like it should flash around 4200 on my setup. Chris said it might be a little aggressive but I really should like it.

Once installed i will update. Should be pretty nasty and fun

Paul

not many good ones but in this video im only on my wastegate (about 8 psi) and 10 degs. of timings. the engine is a 383 stroker ls6 8.5 compression. It only stalls up to about 5400 rpm in this video, on higher boost and timing it stalls 5600. also this is a 3rd gear pull from around 70, th 400 tranny

heres a quick pull through the gears, its a little hard to see stall speed in first but you get the idea.

If you havent bought anything yet, do yourself a favor and call up ptc and have them build you a custom piece. Theyre converters are in some of the fastest small tire cars in the world.
