4L60e interchange
The transmission in my 1999 Camaro went out and I'm looking to replace it, I've found a 1996 Camaro with the same engine and transmission combination (3.8 V6, 4L60E). Would the transmission from the '96 Camaro work in my '99 Camaro?

First, I assume then that both the recipient and donor cars have V6 engine. Please confirm.
If true, both should be "LT1 style" transmissions with a 298mm input shaft. Since '96 and '99 4L60E are electrically identical, I would expect them to interchange, but I have little experience with V6 cars and 01ssreda4 may know something about these years that I don't. (Note that no 4L60E from '94 or '95 will interchange with a later year.)
