Default Done with M6 going to A4

I posted this in the manual trans section, but thought I should post here as well since I am swapping over to A4 and have a couple questions specific to it.

So I have recently started having clutch pedal sticking problems. Got under car and bled the system and before starting the process I noticed I had leaking clutch fluid. Went ahead and bled it and problem still exists. From what the previous owner told me its a LS7 clutch and at this point its got around 25,000 miles on it. I was going to just swap slave cylinder out for a new one, but about two years after having the car I decided I really would be happier with a auto and want to get back into going to the track a couple times a year and my wife wants to drive the car every once in a while and she doesn't like the standard. So this weekend I am going to put the car up on stands at my dads shop and start the process. I have researched quite a bit about swapping although it seems I am finding more a4 to m6 write ups than vice versa. I am also wondering what a realistic price is for my t56 transmission/bell housing etc?
I am thinking I should make a video of the transmission shifting good to be able to show that its in fine working condition. I do not really beat on my car, but of course have no way to prove that. I am just a bolt on car at this point, but one day I will cam the car. Probably something around a TSP220 or a TSP224 size. Nothing insane. I would like to do a small stall in it and a shift kit. Wondering what stall would be good for what I am wanting to do. Good brand and what RPM for my application. Generally just mess around town, quite a bit of highway driving. Not anything so crazy that wife would hate driving or it would be annoying driving/riding on a hour trip. Also what 4l60e should I be looking for? What all works in the car. Also, any quirks with a 98 model I need to know about. I know the computers are a lil different and coil packs. Can I use a v6 firebird console/shifter/pedals?
I have compiled a short list of things I know I need. Feel free to add if you like. Sorry for long post.

Auto bellhousing and Trans
Crossmember
Trans cooler
Pedals and console
Dipstick
Send computer to Frost for tuning
Vehicle Speed Sensor extension

Stall rpm would not affect/not be annoying on highway/hour trip as it would have lock-up(direct drive .7:1 overdrive ratio in 4th and no stall slippage). I have a Yank SS3600 and it drives as tight as the OEM stall around town and I travel a lot,176,000 miles on the 98Z so far.
And you'll have the M6s' rear gear of 3.42,an acceleration advantage over the normal 2.73s' and 3.23s' that come with automatics.
Many others will post in with other good brands.

I am reading that I will need a A4 harness. I am kinda confused because there are like so many write ups going from a4 to m6 where its just a few pigtails or wire swaps. It seems like there are hardly any going to automatic. So anyone know what kind of rewiring I am looking at? Obviously I have to have the computer programmed/tuned for the A4 which is as easy as shipping it!

I don't think I've seen a single post detailing the rewiring for M6>A4. But like you say, there many good ones for A4>M6.

I was thinking you would need a A4 harness while reading your original post but don't have any experience to back it up. I have done the A4-->M6 swap and can tell you there is a lot of wiring the A4 needs that the M6 just doesn't. I reused my A4 harness and adapted it to work with the M6, but I'm not so sure I could do the same working with an M6 car going to an auto. I would do the add on harness posted above or sell your harness and buy an A4. The latter would be the cheaper, but more labor intensive, option.

Anyone know how long the a4 add on harness needs to be? Going from trans to computer.

Anyone know what kind of wiring i'm going to need to do on the inside? Does an adapter harness go directly to computer or the plugs that plug into it? Anyone interested in buying all the m6 stuff i'm going to be pulling out? Also looking for a A4 trans used but good shape.
