Yes, same solenoid and part #.
You can start with a good flush and filter change.

Mrvedit is giving you some good advice. Sounds like the filters are stopped up and starving the pump of fluid. Flush the trans, cooler and replace the filters in the separator plate.

Be sure to post the outcome.

It's warmed up a little here so I'm back to trying to figure out my trans problem. A little more reading about limp mode told me I should have 12 volts at the trans connector pin e. I disconnected connector, turned key on and I have 5 volts. Any ideas?

Alot of gray material can also be from the converter..all that material maybe clogs your shifts solenoids causing it to take off in second gear

You can start by checking the fuses. I don't know which one on a Gen4, but one definitely provides the +12V to the trans.

First, you need to confirm that you are testing the correct pin for +12V on the trans connector. It is Pin E.

This thread might help:

Perhaps someone can give you a link to the electrical diagram of your car, but you need to then work backwards from Pin E to the fuse box to determine where you are losing power. If not already, ID which fuse it is and make sure you have +12V on both sides when the ignition is on.
