Default deep sump or stock pan? best fluid to use

Just wondering if any buddy runs a deep pan on a 4l80e in a f body or is it best to use stock pan? Also wondering what's the best fluid to use . This is a new rebuild

You'd most likely be best off with a stock pan.

Fluid isn't a big deal, store brand Dex would suffice.

The problem with the deep sump pans is they decrease your ground clearance significantly. I was able to find a shallow cast aluminum pan from a company called PML performance. Not sure if they are still in business though. Otherwise I would run a stock pan.

The stock pan is fine... just use dex fluid, nothing special. Invest your money on good external trans coolers.
