Default Transmission fluid line nick

I finished my cam install and started the car up and transmission fluid flew everywhere. I inspected the line near the balancer i have a small nick on one of the transmission lines. How would i go about fixing this line without having to replace it? Thank you.

You can cut a section of the line out and replace it with rubber transmission cooler line and double hose clamp it on both sides. In a perfect world you would slightly flare each side of the lines to help prevent leaks. The trans cooler lines do not see that much pressure.

Make sure you use transmission cooler rubber hose though, regular rubber hose won't hold up.

I would use a compression union. just cut out the damage piece of line and install the union. I wouldn't trust a rubber hose and clamps if its on the pressure side.

The compression union would be the more direct way, but I like the flare and hose clamp method (with the correct hose!). If you use the flare method, for the proper support, cut as little as possible out the existing line.

Johnny59...you need to get going with your trader rating. You're getting a little lazy, there.
