TC intall: Pro or self?

TC intall: Pro or self? Did most of you have your TCs installed for you or do it yourself? I'm a little reluctant to break open my tranny since I haven't before even though the install doesn't look hard at all. A friend and I did a cam swap on an LT1 just fine so the TC doesn't look hard. Do you have to get your CPU reprogrammed when you change TCs or does it just adjust?

You should be able to do it. I am not going to do my own 
(even though I did my own headers). You and a buddy should be fine, I looked into the install myself before deciding and it doens't look all that hard. What is the stall speed? You will need something like a hand programmer to adjust the shift points and take out or edit torque management depending on the year.

Come on guys...it's a hell of a lot easier than a cam install, or a shiftkit. Just make sure you have access to a lift, a tranny jack, and some really long estensions to reach the top bolts, they are a bitch to get to. You will need two people to do it. My buddy and I can do a swap in about 1.5 hrs.

take the intake off the motor and you can reach the top tranny bolts easy from inside the engine bay.
TC swap isn't hard, just not that much fun on jackstands..same as any other tranny stuff.
