Default What Stall?

Hey guys,
I one of the good ol faithful LT1 guys and I was just wanting you guys input. I have a 4L80E being built for my setup now. Just by reading the post in this section I come up with the assumption that a stall around the 3700-3900rpm range. What do you guys think? Some specs are in my sig and I have 3.42 gears.

Let me know, or give me some tips on how to calculate what my own stall should be.

What kind of power figures are we talking? Better yet, do you have a dyno sheet? We have had good success with around a high 3k stall 258mm on the turbo LS type motors. I imagine your LT wouldn't be too much different. A multi disk is nice to have with forced induction for durability and performance reasons. Give us a little more info on intended usage ect and we can help you further.

Thanks for the response.

I didnt know I was suppose to have a dyno sheet already. I would like a billet, single clutch 10.5" converter. I am estmating my HP being around 550 if that with 78MM turbo 12#s tops for now. After doing my research I was thinking around 2800. It will be driven on the street hence the reason for 4L80 and not 400TH. I will be doing more track duty than street. But who wouldnt street race every now and again. I also plan on doing a transbrake and staying with the 3.42s for a while. Car should be around 3450lbs.

Your thoughts? PM me a price if you wouldnt mind. Thanks again.

I have a 3000 rpm stall in my 5.3 twin 66mm with 3.25 gear, way to tight. I have 70 a/r exhaust housings and it will only foot brake to 1lb of boost before pushing through the 12" c5 vette brakes all the way around. Circle D will get you hooked up with the rite stall, I'm going with them for my new one.

We can split the difference at around a 3500 stall. This will be our 258mm or 10 1/4" converter. Single disk is no problem as long as you do not lock the converter under power. PM sent on price and part number.

I took that into account with the part number. It will fit with no issues. That price does not include shipping. Feel free to call for a shipping quote to your zip.
