6spd to 4l60e swap

I was looking to buy this camaro. Someone took the 6 spd out and put in a 4l60e out of the same year camaro in it. Now the trans will not shift on its own. you can manually shift 2 and d. What would it take to fix it?

possibly the pcm needs to be reprogrammed for the 4l60e

Yes, start there. It needs a different OS/Segment to support the A4; this adds the shift tables, TCC support and more.

Who could reprogram pcm for the auto. Maybe delete all the bs not needed and some more power

Check the tuning section of this forum. There are various mail-order tuners there like "Frost".

I'd go 4l60e because the 700r needs the tv cable... you can just add the wiring to the harness. I think speartech has them... then get the pcm reflashed with an automatic vin...
