what kind of 60' to expect with a 4k stall
broad question I know. 2000 chevy blazer cammed 5.3/th350 swap. trap speeds show around 300-330whp. 3.08 or 3.42 gears. Guesstimating between 3800-4000lbs. Just bought a fti 4k converter. Is a 1.8 60' out of the question?

Well I haven't got around to installing the converter in yet, but got a lot done to the vehicle. Threw a tach in it because it didnt have one. I drove around a little and noticed the converter thats in it seemed decently loose. With this setup the best I could manage was a 2.11 60' dead hooking. Anyone think this may be a tune up issue and not a converter issue. Trap speed and weight showed around 330hp which should be about right? Ignore the obnoxious music on the radio.

Absolutely no idea. It was in it when I got it and the previous owner didn't know either. After hooking a tach up, it appears bigger then I thought. Concerns me that it only cut a 2.11 60' with this converter when it appears pretty loose on the tach. The previous owner THOUGH it was a 3k, but looks looser to me.

Not sure if this is the issue but I had no luck with sunpro tachs. Gave it away and that guy eventually threw it away lol. Have another tach to hook and see if it's acurate? Or another way to double check it? I even had autometers be off. Said I was spinning the motor to 9k when the limiter was 6500 lol. It could also be bl owing through the converter. They have a calculator to show how much it's slipping.

So, I got this converter out and ran the part number. Came back to a 3200-3600 boss hog 9.5". Dont really feel this thing is down on power because it trapped 82mph in the 1/8. For a 3800lb vehicle that put me around 330hp. Which is about right for a 5.3. Anyone think issues with the tune could cause this?

what was the part # ?
most of the 'boss hog' convertors for a th350 on the Summit site are the inexpensive range(similar to the inexpensive TCIs' and B&Ms').
sounds like a similar problem/scenario with others that buy inexpensive convertors and expect expensive convertor results.

After first driving it I felt like the converter was the issue for being lazy off idle. So, I went ahead and got an fti 4k. Now after seeing it is a 3200-3600 it really concerns me if it is a tune issue.

28" dead hooking slicks with a new convertor,I'm guessing,1.6-1.7 60s'.
you haven't told us anything about your suspension setup.
just saw you got a thread running in 'drag racing tech' too.
