ive been doing alot of research the past week for my build,(370ci, s476, th400) and ive narrowed it down to yank and ptc. Yank because ive had great luck with them in the past and they never let me down and PTC because they come highly recommended for the boosted/th400 setups. just my 2cents, post up what you end up going with

Whatever you wind up going with, I would choose one with a billet front cover. This (should) give you fitment without spacers or pilot adapters for an LS motor/flex plate, and keep the converter pads from breaking off. Seen this numerous times on the Janky home made types

Great to hear. Chris will get you set up with what you need. We love the turbo setups. Challenging to spec, but when it's right, it's very rewarding.

What general power range are the Circle-D converters rated at? I tried one last time I did a TH400 and my 4C flashed over 5k RPM, sent it back and came back as a 2C and still flashed over 4k RPM. Ended up just taking it out as I felt I was losing out on some powerband. An OEM truck converter ended up working well and jumped off the line about 2500-2800RPM. I'm considering it again but are there tighter converters for turbos that are making boost around 3k RPM and 20+PSI by 3,700 RPM.

Our general ratings for converter stall speed are based on a N/A 4-500 hp car. This seems to be what most guys are looking for when they contact us. I definitely would have at least put you in the 10 1/4" 258mm for any sort of serious turbo setup. We reserve the 245mm for centrifugal, N/A, and nitrous applications.

Another +1 for FTI. I'm in Florida, so that made my decision alot easier. Everything is working great, FTI th400 level 4.5/converter.

Very happy with my billet converter from circle d. Got to send it back to them for a re stall. New setup will make quite a but more power then the last.

Thanks that makes sense, I guess something got lost in translation. I'll give you a shout when I get the new trans setup figured out.
