Default B&M 4l60e transmissions

Anyone every bought one of these units? And anyone heard any good/bad stuff on them??

I've read both from satisfied customers and horror stories. And complaints of them barely lasting a year.
I'm confident they are rebuilt by mechanics with minimal training and on a quota system of x transmissions per week to keep their job.
Companies like B&M and TCI have to cut costs to pay for their costly advertising.
(The more a small(ish) company advertises, the less I trust their value.)

Why not buy a 4L60E from one of the sponsors here - FTL, RPM, Performabuilt, North Texas Converter. Similar price and built by very experienced builders who spend as much time as needed to get it right.
