Default wbody store converters?

Anyone used these before? http://www.wbodystore.com/transmissi...onverters.html

Seem to have all the goods,

Fully furnace brazed
Custom sprag thrust bearing
Lighter (by 7.23 lbs) means a much quicker reving motor
Hardened hub welded with bloon plate
Raybestos Kevlar impregnated clutch liner
245mm converter has a shorter torque arm than the stock L32/ L67 converter resulting in less effective rotating mass
Computer balanced (significantly reduces chance of broken flexplate)

just unfamiliar with the store, I emailed them to see if it was an in house rebuilt converter or they get them from somewhere, curious if anyone had any experiences with them.

Based on the color and the price,I'm guessing a B&M convertor.
For that price, don't expect performance gains.
Typically, here on LS1tech,the members frown on B&M,Hughes, and inexpensive TCIs'

for what vehicle ?

w body store , zzp , intense racing , 3800 performance all cater to the 3800 series 2 supercharged market , I would stick to suggested brands discussed in the transmission section on this board if its going behind an ls engine , circle d ,yank ,vigilante ,etc....

07 grand prix GXP, i dont need a racing converter I just need a replacement converter that will hold up to the power. It's a daily driver car, just gonna be doing a LS3 cam, DoD delete, and headers/intake on Hptuners. Nothing crazy. The guy I bought it off of just had the trans rebuilt but they never replaced the converter.

I'd buy a yank but do they even make 4t65e-HD converters?

ok , now it makes sense why you were shopping convertors on w body store...

I would post in the fwd ls section( LS4 performance) on here where others before you surely have convertor knowledge for fwd/ls-v8

my 4t65e experience was with supercharged L67 w bodies
