rebuild kit 4l60e A friend of mine bought a 95 truck, needs a tyranny rebuilt. The older 4l60e's, are different from the later models. Are there any rebuild kits geared for these early models, or will most any rebuild kit cover the basics?
Check out my rebuild thread here. I tried to make it really thorough and I think it'll answer a lot of your questions (my vehicle is actually a truck too, a 1996). I used the level 1 kit for years 1993-1996 from trutechtrans, along with a lot of other additional items from various sources that may not necessarily be necessary for the rebuild you're wanting to do. There's a list in the first post of everything I replaced/upgraded. There's also a rebuild kit geared towards towing, if your friend uses his truck for that.
