Default Need advice on stall, 4L80E turbo.

I just had my 4L80 rebuilt with a hughes race kit and transgo shift kit, Now I need to figure out what my stall speed should be. Car is a 1987 mustang, motor has a 03' LS6 cam in it, and has siemens 80lb injectors, 76mm turbo. Car will be street/strip, anyone with a similar setup? The forced induction is whats making me second guess my stall speed, tranny builder suggested 2500 stall.... what do you guys think?

Gears: 3:73

What engine is this? 4.8? 5.3? 5.7? etc. Unless you are working with over 400 inches of displacement 2500 stall isn't going to do a whole lot for you in terms of getting into boost. What's the AR on the turbo? .96?

5.3 with that kind of AR is going to need some decent rpm. I would suggest something like a 3600 stall speed for a street/strip combo. If done right, your drivability will be fine.

That's more like I was thinking 35-3600. I didn't think I'd even be in the boost at 2500

You'll grow old waiting for boost to happen with a 2500 stall converter. That means you can probably only footbrake it 1800-2000 rpm.
