94 z28 A4, part throttle taking off right when it was time to shift into second heard a loud thud and motor seemed bogged down.. pulled trans and found this. Car would not move in forward or reverse like something was bound up in the trans.

It looks like the snap ring that hold the output shaft in has come loose. Pull on the output shaft and see if it will slide in and out of the trans a few inches. With the snap ring loose and the tail housing removed the output shaft will slide all of the way out.
