Default 98 Suburban 4L60e vs f body 4l60e

Is their any difference in a 4l60e out of a 2wd suburban vs a 98 f body ? Father is looking into swapping it in to his 77TA with a SBC any special things needed other than a a controller? The suburban has the 5.7L vortec engine.

The transmission behind the 5.7l vortec is different than the one behind the LS1 in an f body. The input shaft, and converter is going to be your problem. The older trans would be an easier swap to a sbc.
