Default tci converters

so i found a guy local going to sell me a tci super street fighter 3500 for around 300 bucks, but all i have been finding are bad things about tci. should i stay away from them or have they fixed there issues?

DON’T DO IT!!! WHEN it breaks not IF it breaks, it will take your trans out with it. I know this first hand. Besides $300 isn’t much of a deal for a used converter.

If you look around there are several company's that make a decent converter in the 350-500 dollar range. If you want the best go with one of the site vendors, I prefer Circle D.

thanks for the imput guys, thats all i needed to know. ill just wait a little longer and buy a new one. i dont want to spend money twice on something like a converter or another tranny that i have already built

I had the TCI 3500 Street Fighter and it was very sloppy and loose on the street; I hated it. A quality converter from a sponsor is a much better choice; it will be reliable and be tighter and more enjoyable on the street.

yup, def just going to wait a little longer and go with circle d. ive heard nothing but good things, and havnt heard not one good thing about tci. its a no brainer at this point.
