Default Stall for my 6.0 gt45 chevelle

Just wanted your guys opinion my setup is 1970 chevelle,lq4, gt45 69mm,225-581-113 tu1 cam, th400 RMVB/brake, 3.31 rear, 275 mickeys, the converter Builder is recommending me a converter that stalls at 3k does that seem about right or a tad to tight to you guys? I found this company from the sloppy mechanics guys they have one in a 8 sec lsX notch I'd be happy with an 11 sec street toy

I would buy a good converter from Circle D, Yank, FTI...etc. 3200 would be decent.

^^^agree, but contact Yank,CircleD,FTI for their recommendations. A 3200 on the brake would be well below(too below) the HP and torque of the engine.

buy the best converter you can afford. Since you don't have OD or lockup, that stall number seems about right. If you had an OD trans, you could go to 3600-4000 and still have it streetable

Thanks for the input all , I'm not trying to cheap out on a converter but maybe my thinking was why pay 800 if I can pay 400 for the same thing. (Providing they are) they all but there parts from the same people i.e. Sonnax,Trans specialties , I would never consider them if I didn't see this guy run one in his lsx stang
