Default 4l60e drive by wire to cable conversion??

Hey guys, pulled my transmission tonight (out of a 2000 z28) and was going to replace it with one (out of a 2003 4.8l truck 2wd) after having both sitting on the ground the ONLY difference I seen was the 2000 was shifted by cable, and the 2003 is shifted by the black box with 2 harness pigtails that is on the shift lever itself. I was curious if anyone knew of a conversion kit or what I would need to do to make the 2003 4l60e shift by cable as well instead of shifting by wire.

Thanks in advance!

The Black Box is the Neutral Safety/Range Switch/Back up light switch for trucks.

You will need to swap out the long Manual Shift Shaft on the truck trans for the short Manual Shift Shaft out of your old unit, Remove & throw away the black box.

Don't throw away the black box. In previous posts, people have been desperate to find one for applications that need it.
