4l80e has 1,2 reverse wont shift into 3 or 4

4l80e has 1,2 reverse wont shift into 3 or 4 Just got car back from the shop. Its a 2000 camaro 6.0 4l80e. Car goes into reverse, 1 and 2 no problem but doesnt go beyond that. Im thinking they did the 4l80e segment wrong or not at all. Any thoughts? It has the nelson 2 wire to the pcm and 4l60-4l80 extension harness. Car was originally a 4l60 car.
