Default Circle d 278mm 3200 stall 2a

Well guys I finally pulled the trigger and went with this 278mm 3200 stall I Heard nothing but good things about this stall I just hope I can feel a pretty good difference in power in this stall. I have pretty much full Bolt Ons and arh long tube 1/34 headers with there hi flow cats and Slp lm 1. Hope I can feel a pretty big difference in this stall. Will I need tune with this stall ? Or shift kit or flex plate. My car is 99 camaro ss. With 6k miles. I know I will need a tranny cooler. And I have stock 323 gears thanks guys

I know you already have our opinion, but I'm sure there will be some people on here about to say you should have gone with a 3600 or so. I love a street car with a high stall converter, but for this level of modifications, intended use, and budget, this converter is tough to beat.

you don't need to touch your tune.

Well I put my stall on it made a pretty good difference on a dead stop but on mid range it's not pulling that heard or at a roll I don't know I guess maybe the tune will fix this issue.

for a DD you will enjoy the 3200. Bigger is not always better I have had a few cams, converters and cars. you can still end up with a decent cam down the road with that converter and be BIG SMILES. The 3200 works great for aroun town and acts real tight. Then when you lay your foot into it all hell breaks loose. On a stock cammed car it will be nutty fun.

Let us know once it is done how you like it. You may want to tune the transmission shifting though and keep it from locking up in 4th gear below in town driving to avoid extra wear on your performance converter. stocker material and set up not so hard on it. That is what I have been told by a few different converter and tuner peeps. check with what Cir D says about theirs.

I have a good set up for shifting points and lock up in mine works great. I might be able to screen shot it and email it to you. I had been playing with mine and got it dialed in with my tuner. shift points great for around town and does not lock up in 4th until just a crack over 50mph

Thanks gto for your help yes i will be having it dyno tuned tomarrow and let you guys know how it is. I drove it a few night ago and man she's was fast and pulling hard. Now with the tune I think it will be even faster. But I don't understand when I first drove the car home with this stall it was quick off the line or at real low speed and that was it and like mid range was terrible was not pulling that hard as it should. But now the car is fast all over the rpm band

I love my NTV 3200 stall. It still breaks the 315 Mickeys loose from a 1st gear roll. I had a Yank ss3600 when I was just boltons and a small cam. I daily drove the car and didnt like it as much as I thought I would. Im sure you will like the larger bodied stall alot better for a dd car. The larger diameter converter should help to cary the car at lower crusing rpm when not locked up vs a smaller diameter one even if the stall speeds were the same.
