Opinions needed. 4l80 value Id like to go ahead and apologize if this is the incorrect section to ask this sort of question. If this thread needs to be moved or ended feel free to do so.
I currently have a 4l80 set up in my car that I am now wanting to swap out for a t56. The transmission is great, no issues, I'm just really missing driving a manual.
I went out and purchased a complete 98 Z28 with a 6 speed that i will soon be taking out to put in my Trans Am. The Camaro is actually a pretty nice car with 115k miles, full interior, and came with some goodies such as headers, exhaust, ss hood and spoiler. I plan on reselling the car after the swap
My question is this. What should I expect the value of my 4l80 setup to be? It will come with absolutely everything needed to swap into an Fbody: Circle D 3200 stall, cooler, harness, dipstick, crossmember, gauges, center console, ect. The trans was freshly rebuilt before being installed and doesn't even have 2000 miles on it.
Also, what do you think would bring the most profit? Selling the 4l80 setup and Z28 separately or together?

Whats done to the 80 internally or is it a stock rebuild? If its built to Jakes or NTV stage 1 then the trans itself should be worth a minimum of $1500 but Id start off asking $2000. The converter maybe $500-600 or so and the conversion pieces maybe another $500 or so depending on how bad someone wants it at the time of sale. I will say that the up coming holidays may be a blessing or a curse depending on if the pieces your considering selling were on someones "A" list for the holidays or not.
It depends on if the potentila buyer wants an auto or manual car. I personally wouldnt own a manual F body car but others wont own anything but that.
