tRANS SLIPS ON 2-3 SHIFT 4L60 trans on my 2002 Z/28 was slipping on the 2-3 shift under WOT. I had the trans rebuilt . They found clutches damaged. I still have the same problem after the the trans was rebuilt. Has anyone else had the same problem ? What could be the problem ? Any help would be appreciated . Thanks
Common issues with 3-4 are.
1-Green oring in input drum not changed or damaged
2-Stator tube in pump worn of damaged where input shaft rings ride
3-rings on input shaft damaged or not changed during rebuild and worn.
4-debris on encapsulated check ball in case not allowing it to seat causing leakage in third clutch oil
5-Damage or missing orifice/check valve in input drum causing leakage in 3rd clutch oil.

Yes, many people have had the same problem, and I am confident it is because the builder did not carefully check every point that Frank (PerformaBuilt) lists.
I will be creating a Sticky soon so that such information is easier to find and doesn't need to be repeated over and over.
