Default Extra part after 4l80e transgo hd2 install

Please see attached picture

Just finished installing a hd2 transgo kit in a 4l80e im installing in a 66 chevelle. I followed matt(denmah) video on youtube which worked out great, thanks again for posting that matt!

So ive got the extra springs for the internal pump mods if you tear the trans all apart plus the little round piece of aluminum shown in the attached picture. Im thinking it was a oops from transgo and not for this kit because i cant find it in the instructions anywhere nor did i see it in the video.

Help me out guys before i throw the pan back on this thing and install in the car, i definetely dont want to deal with dropping the vb under the car.

Looking back thru i believe you are right. I dont know why i set it back in the box, i set everything i took out into a pile so i would know where it came from to avoid this problem!

When I rebuild my own transmission there are so many alternate parts that I test-fitted, that I end up with half a transmission of left over parts. I then know I made it even better.

If you don’t have leftover parts you’re not doing it right.

My most recent turbo 400 build I found an o ring in the pan where I had stored all the valve body parts-never did figure where that came from, unless someone had stuck it under the open sol.-but it works OK, lol
