Default exploded pump

finally got the car into the trans shop. Got the trans out and the no-go problem was ann exploded pump. Had a Yank SS3600 to put in but was wondering will my old converter (Daaco 2800 stall) still be usable or will it need to be cut apart and cleaned?

Depends on how much metal was pumped throughout the trans. Using the old converter can contaminate your rebuild trans.

if you killed the pump, more than likely your converter has metal in it now. In my opinion better to safe than sorry and not risk your freshly rebuilt transmission.

Got my car back. Hadn't driven it in 5 months. Trans seems to work very well. The new SS3600 seems good too. Going to be hard to drive it easy to break it in but I reset the trip odometer to remind me.
