Stall question for setup
Hey guys i have a shop building my trans and doing a custom converter for me. He recommended a 4500 stall...I thought it personally seemed high but im just wondering on others opinons and personal experience.
Setup it.
408ci, Afr heads.
ls6 intake manifold
Borg warner S484.
Id1300's
230/232. 615 liftish cam 115lsa
Th400
3.27 rear gear on a 28 inch tire. (will be switchgint to 3.25 or a 3.08 later)
I was thinking somewhere in teh 3600 range but i could be wrong. never had a stalled auto before. Mainly street driven, track occasionally. It will get " Driven" Though.

I agree 4500 sounds a bit aggressive on a 408 with 23X cam, especially for street use. I think a 3600 would be fun and still keep the cam happy. How much boost and power are you thinking?
I would like to shoot for around 1100whp or so over the next year or so. in the range of 23lbs. but for now just lookinf for 12-14 lbs. around 750-800whp
OK, be happy to help you spec a converter out. For 1100RW Turbo I would probably do our new 252mm, loose down low and tight up top. Give us shot and we can go over options. 3500-4000 is where we would shot for.
