Choosing 4spd for LQ9
I have an engine swap right now on a '72 Olds Delta 88, with a stock LQ9 and a TH400. Long story short, I wanna swap in a 4spd auto. As I understand, the car this engine came from ('02 Escalade) had a 4L65E, so I'm trying to figure out whether I should pick one of those up, or if it'd be better to step up to a 4L80E or something like that. I'm not planning on supercharging the engine for now, would like a reliable setup. Locally, 4L65E are available for like 500 bucks. Which cars could I pull one from?
Thx,
Dante
