Default 98 4l60E behind Ls1

Hi, everyone first post here. I recently bought a 99 Trans Am that needs a transmission. Today I picked up a 4l60e that was supposedly from a 2002 2wd tahoe. I was suspicious that it wasnt from a tahoe and i was correct. Its from a 98 2wd truck or van with a 5.0/5.7 according to the code on the trans which is 8CHD. I did some research prior to this to see what converter I would need to make this work behind the ls1 and instantly got confused because It seems my 98 4l60e has an input shaft from an older 4l60e. What am i going to need to make this thing work?

I do know the input shaft is shorter than a Ls style transmission but here is a good read I came across when doing research when I rebuilt mine

So it appears that the 4l60e's in the 98 trucks didnt get the updated input shaft im guessing that was because they still used a sbc in the 98 trucks. So it looks like all I need is the flexplate spacer and a 298mm converter.
