Default 4wd boost launch with 4l80e?

My plan is to turbo a 2005 5.3 single cab short box 1500 GMC. I am shooting for 650-700 rwhp. I will be swapping in a built 4L80E trans. My question is this. should I go with a 4wd or a 2wd? If 4wd will the drivetrain hold 4wd boost lauches at the track? Or should I just run 2wd and slicks? Any advice is appreciated. This truck will be a DD.

4wd will be fine, search for info on stock48, parish or atomic. Those guys have been doing it for years. Either way your gonna need a truetrac or better locker in the rear because the stock one wont hold up. I would also recommend getting a stout rear driveshaft either way you go.

My vote is do it regardless, what's the worst that could happen, it breaks? Oh well, it was fun now rebuild it.
