I having my engine rebuilt and adding a hotcam and converter while the engine is out. Is an FTI 3200 stall the right choice for this build. I also have 3.42 in the rear end. This is mostly a street car with the occasional WOT driving here and there.

Any other mods or details on the car?

 

LT1 355 .026 head gasket, stock heads w/ 986 valve springs, RR's, hotcam, 3.42's, LCA's.

 

A 3200rpm stall speed converter sounds like it will work very well in this setup, and still have good street manners.

Aaron is exactly right! Our 3200 converter drives great on the street. You could even talk to Aaron about ordering one of our converters through SDPC they're an authorized FTI distributor and they're great to deal with.
