Silverado 4L80e and transfer case swap problem Hello Everyone,
Maybe you guys can help me out.
I have a Silverado 1500 Z71, with a manual shift transfer case. I found a very good condition 4L80e transmission with an electric shift transfer case that I am going to install. Does anyone know if it is possible to convert my truck to the electric shift transfer case? And what parts I would need? I know I would need the push buttons and the PCM tuned, is there a specific wiring harness that needs to be added/replaced?
I have also looked at replacing the electric shift with a manual shift transfer case. The manual shift I found is not in as good of condition as the electric shift that I have, but would probably work well enough.
I am trying to figure out which direction is going to be best.
The trans is completely stock, is there anything that should be done to it, before it is installed?
