Monster Transmission
Converter not all the way in, fluid level not correct, shifter not adjusted correctly, driveshaft not the correct length.
I would also say the complexity has changed with electronic transmissions. However most of the issues we see are basic installation error.

My Monster saga continued. I finally fixed the leaking transmission issue with almost no help from Monster. I spoke with Nathan, I believe was his name, in customer service yesterday morning 4/17/2018 about being reimbursed even just $7 of the $55 and was told without a receipt I get nothing....seriously? So I flat asked him, "What you and Monster Transmission are telling me is **** me? That's it? You supposedly build relationships, have a handshake agreement but without a receipt **** me?" His response was, "I guess." This does not include the $8.09/qt Dexron VI transmission fluid that this transmission leaked 7.5qts. of, the new transmission pan gasket because it had to come off for a second time, or anything else associated with the cost. I was asking for $7, I wanted the $55, but would have settled for $7 which is the average selling price of the seal that YOUR company FAILED to install in my transmission and I was told, "**** you." $7 was not much to make me content. However, at this juncture it is going to cost more than $7 to make me content. Your company has a poor track record, it is starting to be known, Rich Rawlings can't save your reputation at this point, that salvation is going to have to come from within, customer service. Unfortunately for me, I found out too late.
This is an email I sent to Wyatt yesterday that has gone unanswered, which according to other customer experience, is SOP for Monster Transmission,
I bought a 4L65E for a 2003 Tahoe. It did not have the front pump wedge seal installed. Long story short this past Saturday, 4/14/2018, I paid $55 for a $5-7 seal. I paid $55 because the transmission shop I bought it from sold it to me instead of finishing the transmission he promised his customer by Tuesday afternoon. Part of my $55 went to him overnighting a new seal today, so he can still deliver on his promise to his customer by tomorrow afternoon, 4/17/2018. Your company refuses to even reimburse the normal selling price of $7. That IS NOT a handshake agreement, see, handshake agreements don't work off of receipts or signed paper, they work off of handshakes. No paper, no ink, nothing. Growing up in rural West KY I made a number of handshake agreements, I understand how they work. It requires 2 hands and 2 honest parties, we have 3/4 of that, we're lacking one of the honest parties here. If I was going to scam you, I'd scam you for a whole lot more than $7, a whole lot more than $55. A whole lot more than my gas, price I paid for the seal, and the lost 8 qts. of transmission fluid I have lost trying to fix this. Your handshake agreement needs to come off your site because your company is ignorant as to how a handshake agreement works.
At 3:45pm on a Saturday afternoon in Rural West KY, a man with a small company he built over 18 years made a sacrifice for someone he never met, had no vested interest in, and had zero obligation to help. He made his life harder to make mine easier. He sold me a part he needed so I could get myself, 2 kids, and wife safely back to Georgia so I could be at work, and my oldest kid could be in school Monday morning.
I tell you this story because Monster could learn something from Michael Todd in Almo, KY.
Customer Service.
A man with a small company in Newark, DE answered his phone at 2:41pm EST on Saturday 4/14/2018 from his couch on his day off. He helped a guy who bought a product from one of his competitors figure out why his transmission was leaking between the pump and case. Once the man in Newark said, "2003 was a split year for 4L65E transmissions, early 2003's had an o-ring around the pump, late production 2003's had a boot seal," it clicked in the desperate guy on the phone's head that his Monster transmission had NO seal in it, and the one you sent me wasn't the correct seal for the transmission you sent me. Monster doesn't even know what case style transmission they sent me. Frank Cahall of Cahall Performance Transmissions helped a desperate man figure out his problem after removing his Monster transmission for the second time to fix the mysterious leak it had. He hand no vested interest in me, and had zero obligation to help me, but he took time out of his day so I could get myself, 2 kids, and wife safely back to Georgia so I could be at work, and my oldest kid could be in school Monday morning.

Customer Service.
Monster Transmission answered the phone at 12:39pm on Saturday 4/14/2018 from their call center. They told a desperate man trying to fix the transmission he bought from them, "We're sorry, customer service and warranty department will be in Monday at 8am, we can't help you, we can't call anyone at home to try to help you be back in Georgia Monday morning for work."
I tell you this story because, well, Monster is a Monster letdown. Who helped me? Not the big box company, the little guy, who, like myself is just trying to pay the bills and likes to help people. Monster Transmission is a joke, your handshake agreement is bullcrap, and your relationship building skills need IMMENSE help. You have a BBB rating of F, and now, I see why.
You do not care about your customers, you care about making a dollar, you have no interest in fixing your mistakes. I understand mistakes happen, I've made my fair share, but I fix my mistakes, it's how you handle fixing the mistakes that shows who you are.
I would enjoy a response from you, especially the owner of your company, Achilles Thomas, who like the men mentioned above was once a small business owner. I would like to know if he ever did the above for someone who he had no vested interest in. Or, has he always ran his company as profit only and never cared to help out someone in need.
Regretful Customer,
Michael Rogers

Sidenotes, this transmission has leaked since I installed it. I made them aware of it the day after I installed which is when I found the puddle under my vehicle, this is the second time I took it out to fix it, they sent me parts, but the wrong ones. That's why I said almost no help from Monster.

And it's not just this thread. If you had googled "monster transmission" you would've found so many negative reviews it's amazing this place stays in business.
