4l60e pump torrington?
I've seen kits on ebay that replace the plastic thrust washer between the pump and rev. input drum with a torrington bearing. Now since these kits are on ebay and obviously chinese made my first thought is to stay far away. Has anyone tried these out?

I have not heard of any problems with the plastic thrust washer between the pump and the reverse input drum. It mostly just keeps the reverse drum from rattling around; it does not set the end play. There probably is pressure on it in Reverse, but not otherwise. Maybe if you plan to drive thousands of miles in Reverse, a better bearing might be useful.
However' I'm not an expert on this and always defer to the pro builders who might correct me.

Eh, kinda what I expected. I've torn down a few really destroyed 60e's and that plastic washer was just fine, so I was surprised someone took the time to design a torrington replacement. I guess if Sonnax/Transgo doesn't make it, don't bother with it.
