Default 6L80E into 2001 Yukon?

Hey guys - I've decided to build a 408 and swap it into my 2001 Yukon 2500, which is currently an 8.1l/4L80E. I would love to back the 408 with a 6L80E, but not sure its possible. Assuming I would need the 58t reluctor wheel and the computers off of an appropriate year truck, but thought I read somewhere the newer comp wouldn't work in the older body due to the computer bus or something? Then again there are LS motors in everything now, so???

What would I need to do to make this happen? And yes, I will work with a good builder to make sure the trans is built enough to handle the engine!

Few here have 6L80E swapping experience, although member ZGP is in that business.
This thread has a lot of info; probably best to only look at 2013+ posts and older posts are now obsolete:

The ECM/TCM from an e.g. 2010+ vehicle that came with a 6L80E could control the trans and engine, but would not interface with the BCM on your vehicle. No idea how important that is.

The PCS 2600 trans controller can also control the 6L80E. Not sure how it interfaces with a ECM or PCM or directly with engine sensors. Member ZGP knows this well; contact him.

In any case it would be a very challenging swap and will likely cost at least several thousand dollars over and above the cost of the trans itself.
