4l60e no drive or 3rd from dead stop

i recently replaced my transmission, new trans didnt have drive or 3rd from dead stop. id have to manually obtain 3rd and 4th. truck also feels sluggish from a start. i replaced forward sprag with a good one, inspected roller clutch. all seemed well. still dont have 3rd or drive. really need some guidance here..

Are you saying is does not move in d3 or d4 positions you must pull it down to manual 1 or 2?

If you have to manually shift into D1 or D2 to get the car running, then the forward sprag is bad. If you just replaced it, I'm sorry to say you put it in upside down.

yes exactly. And I can get 3rd and 4th if I manually shift all the way there.

damn.. I watched a good video on it too. Thought I put it in the right way but I guess not :/
