4l80e swap troubleshooting help
I have a 67 C10 with a cammed 4.8 and 4l80e, 3.73 posi 12-bolt, 29" tires. It had a 4l60 but it didn't last.
The 4l80e is a 94 or 95 model. I had a local transmission shop do a complete rebuild and put a transgo hd2 shift kit in it. The converter is from Circle D. It is wired for an 80 and I did the segment swap myself.
First thing I noticed is that the truck is hard to push around in neutral. I thought it was a brake caliper dragging so I changed both the rear calipers. Front wheels spun easy. This is my first swap with a non-stock transmission. It seems sloppy. It has no ***** from a stop. It was much quicker with the 60 in it. It drives like I'm pulling another truck behind it. I only have about 100 miles on it and now its throwing P1810 code.
Can anyone help point me in a direction to troubleshoot this. The shop that built the trans came recommended to me but they closed down after the August flood so no help there.
Thanks for any insight.

1st thing is you HAD a 3.06 1st gear which a 4.8 needs to get it going vs the 2.48 in the 80E.
My last 2500 work van had the 4.8/80e in it.
I feel your pain.
I would put more rear gear in it or you can send the converter back for a re stall.
I have an 80E in my nova with 4.30's and will boil the tires and feels just like the th350 it replaced.
I have a 14' 2500 express now with the 4.8/ 6spd.
Sad to say it's no better.
Sorry I can't help with the code.
I hope it helps you out when you get it cleared.
