Default Odd 4l80e issues.

Car is a 99 Trans Am. Stock 80e with a Jake's recalibration kit. I was ******* on the car a little when playing with a mustang. Floored it at 35 or so. Car jolted into first then immediately went to 2nd. I let off and the shifts were very violent from that point on. Car would start in 2nd but if I gave it enough throttle, it would violently shift to 1st. Eventually it wouldn't shift at all. Stuck in 2nd. When I go from park to reverse, it shifts to reverse hard. Now the odd part is when I'm cruising in 2nd, I can shift to 3rd or 4th on the shifter and I'm the rpms won't change at all, nor will acceleration but when I let off, it drops down to idle... When I have the selector in 2nd or 1st, it engine brakes like it should when I let off... And ideas?

Tomorrow I'm going to get it in the air and check the harness to make sure its plugged all the way in.

Were you in D4 or D3 when you did this?
I "think" the sprag takes a beating when in D4 as it has no help from the clutches.
I could be totally wrong tho.
Someone with MUCH more knowledge then me will help.
I hope I'm wrong and you get it sorted out.

I'm pretty confident I was in D2 when the initial pull happened. My hope is that the harness in partially unplugged or something. I had issues with the transmission side pulling back into the case at one point. Hope that's all it is. If not, I'm draining the fluid. It didn't look bad or burnt on the stick when I checked lastnight. Thanks for the input buddy.

80E's are tight in f bodies aren't they? So it's possible that on the downshift, it torqued to the right thus hitting the connector?
I know it's tight in my nova but the connection is nowhere near to the floor.
The dipstick and the tunnel are very intimate! Lol!

Its really tight at the connector and that's actually exactly what happened. It was partially unplugged. Got her all fixed now.
