Default New GM 4L60e separator plate, any good ?

Looking for feedback on the new separator plate from GM.

Came across the GM 24241779 bonded separator plate for the 4l60e. The gaskets are bonded to the plate with flat screens, not the sickout ones. Looks good for alignment issues and preventing cross leaks, but cant be reused.

Q. Has anyone one used it, if so whats the verdict on the new plate ?

Looking forward to the feedback from you guys.

Interesting, what years does this fit? I wonder if they made it hardened or thicker?

I still prerfer Transgo's Hardened plate with Sonnax Torlon Checkballs to prevent the checkballs getting logged into the plate.

My local dealer had one so i got it. It looks anodized with a high quality finish. Fairbank have it in their high performance pack

https://superiortransmission.com/pro...anks-pt4l60-e/.

just a correction it is a serviceable plate. Cortec sell gaskets for it. But you have to to soak it is solvent to help remove the old gasket.

BTW its not that expensive to just get a new one for every build and save all the hassles.

it has a few other part numbers including 24244053.

Has anyone been using it ? Are their any issues with it ?

I use the 24244053 on most 4L60E builds, The 2nd feed hole is a little big for some stock vehicles, But works great on performance stuff using cores of unknown origin.

The 24244053 is made for any '96 & up 4L60E with a "093" Vette Servo & CX code Acculuator bushing.

thanks for the reply.

The ACTUATOR FEED LIMIT holes are smaller then the orignal plate.

you can see it back to back .

Is this a problem?
They are all 0.195 the older ones are either 0.306 or 0.293.

What would happen with the smaller feed holes in terms of shifting etc ??

Thanks for the reassurance.

I want to learn something new.

What do the actuator feed limit orifices do ?

What effect would hole sizes variation have ?
