Default 4l80e will not engage any gears

I installed a 6.0 with 4l80e transmission out of a 2000 model 2500 silverado in to my 1969 c10 and I cant get the transmission to engage at any gear or reverse. I installed a cam in the truck so I upgraded the stall as well. When the truck is off I can push it by shifting it out of park but when I start it I shift through all the gears and nothing happens. I filled the stall with fluid before I installed it and also filled the trans with oil with the truck on until it leaked out. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Was the converter fully seated into the pump when you put the new converter in?
If not, that's your answer.
Broken pump.

I turned it until it wouldnt go in any more. Is there a way to check to make sure its seated all the way without pulling it off again?

Its a wrap young blood. The quicker you drop the tranny, the easier it is.

GM 4L80E = 1.030" from bellhousing to converter pads.
Distance may vary +/- .050".

This will tell you if your converter is seated all the way.
