Love my Circle D 4000 here, in the right powerband it hits pretty hard. Ran a 3600 in a old Fbody and always wished I went higher. Really curious of how she'll feel with some 390 gears.

Cam Motion makes great cams!
This is my 2nd custom with the same heads.
HR in my 355 went 11.7's@ 113/114 and the current SR in my 406.
Same tiny heads that were on the 355 with SR valve springs n steam holes.
Times in sig with 3yr old valve springs and no tuning.

I've herd some good things about their cams but have not seen any dyno graphs of any sets ups, a cam motion sales person tried selling me on a titan cam but I could not find any dyno graphs or anyones results from the track so I skipped out on it I want a proven cam

There is no magic in a camshaft. If the specs are right for your combo, it will do what it is supposed to do. Someone else's dyno sheet does not directly translate into success for your build. The camshaft needs to be correct for your engine and build.

I work for Cam Motion. Our camshafts are in everything from 3 time World Champion Antron Brown's NHRA Top Fuel car, to the record setting Farks/American Racing headers LSX Real Street Camaro and many, many more. If you want the best camshaft for your car, I guarantee we can deliver.

I might be the minority here but in my bolt on car I wish I would've gotten the SS3600 instead of the SS4000. I daily drove it through town for a year or so, and to me it didn't have enough part throttle giddyup. When the converter locked or when I was near WOT it was awesome. But just cruising around it was too loose for my taste. Seemed like it had two speeds, part throttle slow crawl or WOT ***** to the wall with not much inbetween.

That being said, if it was my toy car instead of my only car I would've loved it.

Did you have a 2:73 gear? if the converter feels too sloppy you could just step up to a bigger gear set to help out, I plan on doing a cam swap in the future and would rather just purchase a converter once and be done lol, I have herd alot more storys of people who have bought the 3600 and wished they would have went with the 4k than the other way around

I had the 3.23 rear gear. For N/A performance the SS4000 is hard to beat, but it was just too sloppy to be my only transportation. I'm also looking at this through my old family man glasses. But, I still remember the first time I went WOT after the SS4k break in. Put the biggest grin on my face.

I thought SS was the converter that was good for street driving and spray and that for N/a applications PT was the way to go

I am not saying that cam motion does not make a great product I just have not seen any builds where people were running a cam from cam motion, maybe before I make my final selection I will call and get in touch with a sales rep, I have talked to tick and TSP, tick recommended their polluter cam and TSP recommended the MS4, brian over at BTR recommended the stage 3 cam but that was before the 4k converter

From Cam Motion, have a look at the Titan King. It is our most aggressive grind specifically designed for stock bottom end LS1 and LS2 engines.
