The simple answer is NO - it is an LT-style trans which will not directly bolt up to an LS engine. It also seems that some '95 are "PWM" and some are not; only "PWM" are compatible with the LS1 PCM. When "PWM", it is stamped on the front of the pump.

This thread is similar:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...dy-97-ws6.html

In it I wrote:
Since you now have an LS engine, I strongly suggest you get a LS-style (300mm input shaft) 4L60E/4L65E from between '98 and '07. Avoid the LT-style (298mm input shaft) 4L60E as those don't bolt up directly to an LS engine. All '94-'97 4L60E are LT-style, but some later years are too. LS-style have a bolt hole in the 12 O'Clock position of the bell housing.

Note that you also need an LS-style torque converter.

It will require a '96-'08 Valve Body swap & you have to work out the Converter spacing.

They give 1995 4L60E's away for a reason!

Thanks mrvedit and clinebarger I did find that thread yesterday.
My trans is pwm so it should be possible but would be easier with a newer model. I'm having a hard time finding a 2wd trans in my area. Do you know what all is needed to convert a 4wd to 2wd? Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it.

Thanks to every one that helped me out with this. I ended up buying a 06 2WD trans today that should make it easier. I hope
Now I just have to sell my 95 4l60e cheep

That is good news. The 06 2WD should work perfectly.

Just for completeness to expand on PBA's post:
Switching the output shaft requires moderate disassembly of the trans - the pump and input drum need to be removed. If the trans has many miles, the teflon rings on the stator shaft or the input shaft might tear and it is a slippery slope to a total rebuild. Many mechanics would replace at least the 3/4 clutch at that point, etc.
