Default Vacuum port SBC

Hi, I have a brake booster already setup to attach to the large manifold port to the rear of the carb. Eldebrock carb.

In the back of the carb (on the actual carb) there is a port for the brake booster. I'm going to hook up the trans modulator to that instead.

essentially flipping the typical configuration.

Seems like a 1:1 switch? Or am I missing something

Should work if you have full vacuum with the throttle blades closed.

If I didnt have full vacuum with the throttle blades close would that of caused an issue for the brake booster as well? I think both are supposed to have full vacuum?

Both the brake booster and the modulator need manifold (full) vacuum to operate properly and consistently. Make sure both are hooked to sources below the throttle plates, as mentioned above. I've only owned one Edelbrock carb (I'm a Holley person), I think it was a 1405, and that was many years ago so I'm not sure which ports on those are typically manifold vs. which are timed/ported.
