Default Junkyard Automatic Electric Trans Cooling Fan

Im guessing this has been answered somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Is there a good trans cooler fan that could be swapped into a 68 Camaro with a 4L80E from a salvage yard?

Would you mind sending me a link. I just went through all their remote automatic transmission coolant fans and a decent one starts around $80.

Are you wanting a cooler and fan or just fan? I bought the cooler I wanted, size, fittings etc, then got a fan to match.

10 inch fan is the one i run if memory serves

Nice plate cooler but it may need an 8 inch fan for it, would have to check measurements.

How hot do you anticipate the trans getting?
I have a 4500+ converter and just a tru cool h7B (I think) and the hottest I've seen on the controller was 173 sitting behind a school bus stopping every 100 yrds.
Temps dropped again into the 150's when a mile down the road.

Truthfully I have no clue. This is the first LS Ive ever messed with. Its a LQ9 bored to a 408 with a 4L80E Im putting in my 68 Camaro. It'll be my daily driver and all motor so I don't know if I need anything special or just a basic strap to the front of the radiator cooler.

A quality cooler such as this one mounted in the front where it gets good air flow will suffice. If you mount it elsewhere where air flow may be an option definitely add a fan!
