Default 4l60e servo valve delete

hi
i`ve seen some builders who thakes out the original one-way valve, and install a plug instaed.
is that correct?
and should i install the plug before the 3-4 oil gets into the 2nd accumulator, or install it underneath?
thanks

I personally never do this, But it seems to work.
Install the plug 'til it bottoms in the case. It can cause a soft 3rd apply on the first 2-3 shift of the day.

If you block the 3rd accumulator.....The band will not release on the 2-3 shift!

Why are you interested in doing this? If you have some leakage at the capsule....Take a flat nosed punch & re-seat the checkball with a few light taps.

I also do not suggest doing this mod for the reasons listed above.

Same here! Leave it alone... Only replace with another one, it if it cannot be saved (rare) from the above suggestion.

Unanimity between three expert builders seems pretty clear.
