Hi mileage pan and filter change
Do you think this is a good idea with hi mi trans or is it the "kiss of death"?
Not flushing, just filter and fluid?

Well "sometimes" My astro van will shift a lil hard, the s10 is a little weird going into 2nd and my suburban, my son says the 1//2 shift to. "Maybe" I could change the solenoids on them when I drop the pan.

Do it. If it goes out shortly after you were on borrowed time anyway. Ive personally had pretty good luck with 700/4l60e, even higher mileage ones, never an issue after a service. I sold an astro with 280k and the original 700r4 still kicking like it was brand new. And my stock original 4l60e now with 150k plus still going strong in a buddys car (stalled since 100k).
