Default Priming the pump ?

have my tranny on the stand upside down....should I pour some trans fluid in the filter so as to put some oil in the pump....or would all that oil pour out some orifice? .....converter is off too

As stated, no need to prime. I always put some in the converter.

If I've had it apart I put translube on the pump gears
