VSS question
Not sure if this is the wright place for this question. Can the VSS out put signal on a 2002 camaro ecm pin 50 DK GRN/ WHT be hook to a after market electronic speedo for the signal source?

Generally.....Yes, A aftermarket speedometer will work with the 4000 PPM DC square wave that pin 50 outputs IF calibrated correctly.
Some speedometers will not like such a low input, Pin 49 of connector C2 puts out a 128,000 PPM DC square wave signal, In fact......I find most aftermarket speedometer work better/smoother with a higher PPM.
Then some will not work with a DC input & need a AC sine wave input......You know you bought a cheap POS if this is the case!!

Thanks clinebarger. Just trying to get a few options I'm doing a LS swap in a 2nd gen Camaro and switching from a 5 speed to a 4l60e at the same time. I would like to stay with the mechanical drive speedo but not to many options out ther for doing that.
