My shift cable likes to pop off the neutral safety switch arm periodically so I thought to just replace the bushing but can't seem to find the bushing. I can only find the entire shift cable or a little "repair kit" for $30. I prefer OEM parts but I searched Dorman's website and it doesn't seem like they make it for pre-2000 transmissions unless they have it mislabeled. I've tried finding a parts diagram to see if I could pull the GM part number but I haven't been able to find the right diagram yet. The dealership only sells the entire shift cable, which aside from costing 10x as much as the bushing, is a fairly big job involving removing the seat and taking apart a section of the dash.

If a sponsor sells shift cable bushings or if someone has some jury-rigged ideas on keeping it from falling off, please let me know.
Or if somebody has a spare bushing and would like to sell it.
Any idea what kinda vehicle you're working on?
It might help those who want to help, help.
I tried a few different vehicles. You're on a site called LS1tech and LS1's didn't exist in 1996 so it's a hard guess.

Thank you, 2ToeRacing, but their information sheet says it is for floor shifters only and mine is a column shifter. I've edited my original post to reflect this.
However, they sell multiple grommets and I'm looking through their list to see if any would be compatible.
