Noise coming from Flexplate

I checked all of the bolt lengths, they are not bottoming out or binding. I took the old flexplate off and inspected it and found nothing. Got the new flexplate installed and trans back on, going to get everything else bolted back up this evening and start it up and see what happens. I am going to start it up without the converter bolted to the flexplate just to make sure i dont hear the sound at that point.

Well i finally got everything put back together. I started the car up without the converter bolted up and there was no noises. Then when i bolted the converter up i got a noise. Its not the same noise as last time heh. I have attacked 2 videos. First one car is in neutral with light reving. Second one is car in park.

Sounds like something is rattling around inside the converter. Could be many different things but I think its obvious the converter is the problem.

That is possible. I did spin the converter around like the guy in that video but i did not hear anything like that.

Do you have an extra stock converter you can throw in there? I bet the inside of the converter has something inside it and the fins inside are hitting it.

I do not have another converter at this time. Guess ill start shopping around for one.

It does bug me that after changing the flexplate the sound is different.

Well i decided to put a 1/64th size shim on the starter just to try it. And what do you know the noise is now gone, i shifted through all of the gears and reved it a little and heard nothing.
